Abdedaim, the presentation is very elegant and refined, with a striking visual contrast between the dark sauce and the topping of nuts and herbs.

The clean cut of the portion enhances the symmetry. How did you work on balancing the sweetness of the honey with the spiced notes of anise and mesk el-horrah? Thank you for sharing it with the community.

        • @sussan_scoolinaryteam Thank you so much for your kind words and detailed observation!
To balance the sweetness of the honey with the spiced notes of anise and mesk el-horrah, I worked on layering the flavors gradually. I infused the spices gently into the sauce to extract their aroma without overpowering the palate, then adjusted the honey quantity to keep a smooth, lingering sweetness. The crunch from the nuts and the freshness of the herbs helped to round out the profile and bring harmony to the dish.

I truly appreciate the opportunity to share this with the community! 🙏👨‍🍳

@abdenafidgmail-com What an interesting process, Abdedaim! I love how you built the balance of flavors step by step, making sure the spices added aroma without overpowering the whole. The detail of the nuts and herbs as a counterpoint of texture and freshness is an absolute win. 👏

Hi there Chef! The depth of color and symmetry in your plating make the dish visually striking, with the crushed nuts adding texture and warmth. What’s the one technique you’d like to refine next to elevate this composition even further? You can share it on IG tagging @Scoolinary_en✨

          • @soldamiani Thank you so much for the thoughtful feedback! 🙏
If I were to refine one technique to elevate this composition further, I would focus on enhancing the sauce’s texture and sheen — perhaps working on a more velvety, mirror-like reduction to create an even greater visual impact.
I’ll be happy to share the updated version on Instagram and tag @Scoolinary_en when I do!

@abdenafidgmail-com Wow, your commitment to refining even the tiniest detail is so inspiring! ✨ A glossy, mirror-like sauce would absolutely elevate the visual drama. What’s your favorite base for reductions — wine, stock, fruit? Can’t wait to see the evolution! And yes please, do tag us when you post it! 😊
