So great to see your third experiment from the Plating Fundamentals course in action!
The color choices are very appealing, and there’s a clear sense of order—which really adds a lot! The contrast in textures (the crispness of the bread, the creaminess of the stracchino, the softness of the vegetables) is well achieved.
As a possible next step, you could work a bit more on the center of the plate to create a clear focal point that draws the eye. You might also try playing with different heights or cuts to add more visual interest and movement.
What’s the main thing you want to express when plating a dish like this? Exploring that intention can really help you sharpen your personal style.
Keep practicing like this, you’re on the right track! 👏1 -

Hi Stefano! 👋 This plating looks fantastic—those vibrant vegetables, the contrast with the dark plate, and the use of natural light create a very clean and balanced composition.
It’s truly inspiring to see someone so committed to working on the art of plating with such focus. The precision in the layout and the intention behind each element really stand out here.
What’s your motivation behind perfecting this skill—are you running a restaurant, working on a personal brand, or simply exploring a new creative outlet?
Whatever the reason, keep going! And if you share it on your stories, don’t forget to tag @Scoolinary_en and Chef Tobie @tobieputtock—we’d love to repost your work! ✨-

@soldamiani Hi Sol! I’m just a home baker with a passion for food, macro and food photography. 🙂 I would like to learn how to present my photos better and make my dishes more inviting for lunch and dinner.

@stefanomuscariello Now it all makes sense haha — I can totally see it now, your Instagram is full of stunning shots! 📸✨
You clearly have a great eye for detail and color, and your passion really shines through in every composition.
If your goal is to make dishes more inviting, you’re already on the right track. It’s amazing what thoughtful styling and good lighting can do—and you’ve definitely nailed both. Have you tried experimenting with storytelling through props or background elements too? That could take your photos to an even more expressive level.
Do you own a professional camera or a very good smartphone?
Keep sharing your work, it’s genuinely inspiring! 👏-

@soldamiani Thank you Sol! I own professional camera and lens, Xiaomi with Leica lens smartphone. I own a lot of backgrounds, I like so much the black colour for the best contrast and highlight the subject (personal opinion). I like also a red background or tree effect.
