Hi everyone! 👋
To start, let me share my beautiful croquetas. 😊
I absolutely loved the croqueta course here on Scoolinary, and I have to admit: I’m now a little obsessed with croquetas. 😄
These ones also have a little story behind them.
During a trip to Barcelona, I was in a tapas bar where I saw them throw away a beautiful jamón bone. I remember thinking: What a waste! There must be something delicious you can make with that.
And then, just two weeks later, I walked into an Italian supermarket and found exactly the same kind of jamón bone for sale. Obviously, I had to buy it. 😄 And yes, I brought it all the way home to Hungary.
I used the ham bone to make a rich stock, and that stock became the base of the béchamel for these croquetas. I also added some jamón itself.
So, in a funny way, these croquetas started in a tapas bar in Barcelona, continued in an Italian supermarket, travelled home with me to Hungary and finally ended up on my plate. 🇪🇸🇮🇹🇭🇺
Since taking the course, I’ve been experimenting with different fillings and flavours, and I’m pretty sure this is only the beginning of my croqueta obsession.
Looking forward to seeing what everyone else is cooking! 😊

Orsi, I was reading this thinking exactly the same: what a waste! The stock makes such a difference in croquetas. I learned that with pine mushrooms, their extra moisture meant adjusting the stock carefully. It’s all practice! Thanks for sharing. Which filling will you try next? 😊

Qué ricas. Las croquetas es de esas elaboraciones que son deliciosas y muy muy versátiles pues admiten muchas combinaciones diferentes de ingredientes y se pueden hacer tanto en versión salada como dulce.
