The dish reflects Goa’s history as a spice trade hub, blending Indian aromatics with Portuguese-introduced ingredients like vinegar. Served with steamed rice, it is a staple everyday meal for many Goan families, balancing richness from coconut with a bright sourness that complements the abundance of seafood along the Arabian Sea coast.

      Garlic Pickle is a medium heat, delicious blend of garlic with aromatic spices including turmeric, paprika, raisins, dates, chile pepper, and ginger. It gives this dish a huge flavor boost.

        • @soldamiani I have been making very spicy dishes lately, so my wife asked me to tone this one down. It was just medium spicy.
