Surprisingly, the charcoal powder doesn’t impart any taste to the bread. It tastes exactly like regular sourdough bread. I combined 1 teaspoon of food grade charcoal powder with the water made to mix the dough. The charcoal doesn’t stain, either, despite how dark it is. I think it would be good for themed events, like Halloween, for example.
