Just pulled my farmhouse cheesecake out if the oven and i am a little dissapointed that it has cracked and moreso that it didnt evenly brown the top surface. Probably my fault for not rotating the cake in the oven to promote even colouring. I also have researched that having the baking paper that lines the sides of the tin too high can also have this effect. I now know what to do and not to do next time. Lucky I can top it with fresh fruit.

The one i made was cooked about 10 minutes before the hour time frame was up. Depending on its interior, how creamy ect) i do think a lower temp would be required.

It still looks lovely, Judy! Cheesecakes love to teach us patience! Even with the crack, the cake looks beautiful and the bake seems spot-on. What matters is the flavour, and I’m sure this one will be delicious.

@lanamihajlovic I have just indulged in a piece, after I took the necessary photographs, and it is very creamy, set is almost a bit on the firm side, but the mixture itself is velvety and smooth. It tastes like how you would it imagine it to, Next time I would add some vanilla paste and a little more sugar, I’m a sweet tooth and I love Vanilla. The possibilities are endless.
