Hi, my friends!
Today was the big day: my Pastry Chef Final Exam! 🍰It was a two-day practical exam, and the theory exam is coming up in two weeks.
We had four tasks to complete:
– a cookie or sablé
– a tart or choux pastry
– an ice cream
– and a cake topper composition.
I truly enjoyed every moment of the exam, and I think the exam committee was pleased with the results – though they never give any feedback.
I’ve already shared my cookies with you (called Néró in Hungary), but here’s a photo again…
And let me proudly show you my Lemon Tarts, beautifully decorated with strawberries and mint leaves from our garden. 🍓🌿
This was actually the only product the committee tasted! I managed to take a photo just after they analyzed everything. 😊
I’m also very proud of my strawberry ice cream – served with caramel sauce, whipped cream, caramel spirals, and fresh fruits (yes, all from our garden!). The plate was chilled, the decoration done first, and I tried to plate two scoops…
But the committee took so long to evaluate it that the ice cream had completely melted! 😅 So I only photographed the decoration part.
My dear friends, I’ve been a Scoolinary alumna for two years now.
In these two years, I’ve graduated twice – first as a cook (last year) and now as a pastry chef. I couldn’t be more grateful for your help and support.

Dear Orsi, what an incredible moment, truly, what a journey you’ve had! Finishing your Final Pastry Chef Exam is no small feat. You’ve been with us for two years now, and in that time you’ve graduated twice. That says a lot about your drive and your hunger to keep growing. Orsolya, it’s such a pleasure to read your post and see everything you’ve accomplished! Congratulations on every step you take and every goal you achieve.
