I’ve been working on my Vegan Macarons and was making some Vegan Brownies for an event today and thought I’d try and put into practice some of the tips and tricks from the CameraPhone Photograpy course by Nina Sarkhel – thoughts welcome – good or bad!
The foodstuffs are Vegan Raspberry Macarons (Green are Vegan Pistachio) – based on Damian Wager Macaron Course, Brownies are Pure Chocolate with Raspberry Ermine Frosting topped with Raspberry Dust and Edible Rose Petals (my recipe) , Photos taken on an iPhone with snapseed primarily to edit testing out the healing tool – see if you can spot where I removed a brownie I don’t like the look of!

Hey Jen! The overhead shot is definitely the strongest — it captures the rose piping beautifully, keeps the frame clean, and really highlights the details of the brownie. It feels more polished and professional compared to the other angles. 🌹📸

Hi, thanks so much for your kind words! I’ll add the tag for the chocolate challenge and if I get time I’ll maybe make something else I can enter too! I’m too scared to tag these guys as my stuff is so amateur compared to theirs and I’d dread the judgement 🥹 – once I get better I’ll be braver I promise 😂

Wow, this shot is gorgeous. The brownie base already looks decadent, but that raspberry ermine frosting styled like a rose takes it to another level. The raspberry dust and petals give it such a romantic finish.
Your iPhone work here is really strong… nice focus, clean edit, and the dark background makes the colors pop. I didn’t even notice any “healing tool” action until you mentioned it 😅

@lanamihajlovic thanks Lana, the course was helpful although I had that. Brownie in about 10 different positions before I was happy with it 😂
